The 11/12 speed Afterburner has been completely redesigned for its highest performance yet with lighter crank arms, a smaller spider and AL7050 chainrings. The svelte new arms are hollow-forged from tough aluminum and clamp to a 30mm alloy axle for the ultimate rough-trail strength. The chainring bolts are also chromoly, while a clever design of the non-driveside arm eliminates the weak point of a pinchbolt. It’s available in 170mm and 175mm lengths. The chainring is CNC-machined from hard-wearing 7075 aluminium, and the whole crank is optimised for 11/12 speed drivetrains. The Megatooth chainrings ensure amazing security thanks to an ultra-deep profile and Narrow-Wide spacing that lock the chain on, and gearing ranges in two-tooth increments from 28T to a huge 38T. Overall weight is a paltry 695g. The sandblasted matte finish combines with polished highlights and sections of beautiful aluminum to exude a monolithic energy that belies its low weight. Subtle logos only enhance the look while laser etching means the graphics last too, no matter what the weather throws at them.
